Following a strong spring market, residential real estate sales in southeastern Wisconsin during May were up compared with May of 2009, according to housing statistics released by Metro MLS.
Metro-Milwaukee home sales are up 26.8% for May 2010. And, all but one county in southeastern Wisconsin saw an increase in sales.
The increases by county are:
Milwaukee County – up 14.7% (920 homes sold in May 2010 verses 802 in May 2009)
Waukesha County – up 44.2% (444 homes sold in May 2010 verses 308 in May 2009)
Ozaukee County – up 52.5% (90 homes sold in May 2010 verses 59 in May 2009)
Washington County – up 51.5% (153 homes sold in May 2010 verses 101 in May 2009)
Kenosha County – up 17.0% (158 homes sold in May 2010 verses 135 sold in May 2009)
Sheboygan County – up 81.5% (118 homes sold in May 2010 verses 65 sold in May 2009)
